How We Work

For donors, APAP brings a fresh approach to the delivery of development and aid programs and projects, from national agencies and international funds to corporate and family foundations, as well as individuals.

For other non-profits, APAP offers extensive experience in organizing operations and financing for national and international programs to assist with all aspects of project design and operations, including financial structuring, scaling-up, fund-raising, management & systems, monitoring & reporting, and independent evaluations.

For both, APAP provides added value in its ability to aggregate complementary local or national projects into larger national or regional programs on an economic scale attractive to bilateral and institutional grantors.  Wherever we can do so without compromising effectiveness, APAP works with local suppliers, NGOs, community organizations, foundations and other implementers so that the economic benefits from the program support local development.

The APAP Process for Donors:

  1. Initial consultation to understand your development policy objectives, budgeting cycles, available funding and preferred implementation modalities
  2. Planning discussions regarding your desired program size, legal / governance structure, budgeting, geographic targets & intended impacts
  3. Program design phase: financial, implementation and operational setup (including financial control, contracting / procurement setup, implementation partners and arrangements, entity / trust establishment, reporting, M&E / logical framework)
  4. Finalize funding agreements and implementation arrangements, program launch
  5. Implementation, monitoring & reporting
  6. Evaluation (APAP believes in making program evaluation as continuous a process as possible, agreed baselines, with reporting done through a live online dashboard)
  7. Program close-out and final evaluation

The APAP Process for Non-profits:

  1. Initial consultation to gain familiarity with your existing projects, programs, funding sources and management capacity, and to confirm suitability of your projects for scaling and ability to effectively use additional funding
  2. Draw up action plan for bringing your project(s) or certain aspects into a larger APAP program, working with other implementing agencies where appropriate
  3. Program design phase: financial, implementation and operational setup (including financial control, contracting / procurement setup, funding partners, entity / trust establishment, reporting, M&E / logical framework)

APAP Systems:

Our integrated platforms for project planning, preparation, budgeting, funding, implementation, oversight, M&E, and donor reporting were all built over the past five years to integrate work with major DFIs and international development programs, providing on-demand, real-time, and high level support. APAP can thus deliver greater impacts for the same funding, with better control and total transparency to donors, beneficiaries, host governments and other partners.

A client/partner version of this platform, INDEX,  is available to support your portfolio of projects.  Read more here…
